7:30AM SERVICE

A traditional Anglican Prayer Book service with an emphasis on the faithful teaching of God's word. We follow a service of Holy Communion on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. We have a service of Morning Prayer on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.

We welcome Christians of all denominations at Communion and also enjoy a 'cuppa' together after the service.

9:30AM SERVICE

A family friendly service where God's word is proclaimed faithfully. Adults and children enjoy the first part of the service together before they leave for their age specific programs.

Bring the kids and enjoy doing church together! You're welcome to stay for morning tea after the service too!

6:30PM SERVICE

This is a shorter, less formal service, with a few songs, built around prayer and the faithful preaching of God's word.

We have A Combined Service on the 5th Sunday of the month. Three congregations join together for a combined service at 9am

SUNDAYS

CRECHE (under school-aged)

Creche is held during the 9:30am service, in 'Oasis', the building behind the Vicarage, facing Ross Street. Each week, two adults are rostered on to care for the children as they play. Parents drop off and collect their children from the 'Oasis' area.

Parents of young children are also welcome to use the Vestry, near the church entrance. There is a speaker in this room so that parents can still listen to the service while looking after their children.

SUNDAY SCHOOL (primary school children)

At Sunday School (held during the 9:30am service), children sing songs and play games before breaking up into groups. In their smaller groups, they hear Bible stories and learn about God's big plan for salvation through Jesus. They usually do a craft activity based on the lesson. Sunday School does not run during school holidays. At these times, children in year 1 and under can go to Creche. Activity sheets and coloured pencils are provided for the older children who stay in church.

Years 7-12 meet on a Friday night during term time from 6.30pm-8pm. Young people come along to learn from the Bible, play games and chat over supper. During the year, our young people also go to youth conferences and enjoy social outings.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

A number of small groups meet at different times and places throughout the week. These groups help us to grow in our understanding of God's Word, allowing it to shape our lives. They are made up of people from different age groups and stages. By praying together and looking at the Bible together, we encourage one another in our faith in Jesus and care for each other through the joys and challenges of life.

Please let us know if you're interested in coming along to one of our groups. You would be very welcome to join us as we look at God's word and get to know each other better.

MOTHERS' UNION (M.U.)

Mothers' Union is an international Christian organisation committed to supporting and nurturing Christian marriage and family life. In the Armidale Diocese our members are seeking to find new ways to achieve these goals. When appropriate, our M.U. Members visit the Maternity Ward of the Inverell Hospital. M.U. meets at St. Augustine's on the third Friday of each month at 10am.
