Meet the Ministry Team

Adam Draycott

- Vicar -

Adam grew up in Sydney’s west.  Before entering Sydney Missionary and Bible College (SMBC) he worked for 15 years in various property-related roles, including property valuation in central Victoria.  Upon graduating from SMBC, Adam was ordained and moved to Gunnedah where he served as an assistant between 2007 and 2009.  He became the Vicar of Barraba in 2010 and served there until the beginning of 2015.  It was during this period that he also served as the Diocesan Youth Encourager.  In early 2015 he was inducted as the Vicar of the Inverell Parish.

Adam is married to Tanya and they have two children.  He loves bushwalking with his family, listening to Australian rock music, driving his ute and sometimes chasing vermin.  He also believes Jesus is the undeniable answer to life’s important questions.

Matt Stones

- Assistant Minister -

Matt is a country guy through and through, having been raised on his family’s farm just outside of Gunnedah. He worked locally as an engineering draftsman for 7 years while taking up many opportunities to serve in his local church. Eventually, he was challenged to consider the possibility of full-time gospel ministry. Trusting God, he resigned from his position to undertake a ministry apprenticeship, where he loved being able to speak about Jesus and teach the Bible on a daily basis. Following his two-year apprenticeship, he and his growing family took a big step of faith, relocating to Newtown for 3 years where he studied at Moore Theological College. Having now returned to country NSW, he is keen to help introduce people to Jesus and see them grow in their faith.

Matt is married to Dee, and together they have three children, Poppy, Boaz and Knox. He loves exploring new places with his family, playing touch footy, cycling, tinkering with cars and computers, as well as cheering on the mighty Dragons. Most of all, he loves seeing people be blown away by God’s love as they encounter Jesus.

Tineke Dekkers

- Pastoral Worker -

Tineke is a North West NSW girl.  She grew up in Manilla and loves to return to visit family and friends in that great little town.  After studying Early Childhood, she worked in this field in Sydney before living in the UK for 2 years.  Her return to Australia saw her living and working in Sydney for 4 more years before returning to the North West to work in Gunnedah.  While loving her work in Preschool, she was challenged to consider Bible college, so headed back to Sydney to study at Sydney Missionary and Bible College.  This led to her employment as Pastoral Worker (Women and Children) at Inverell Anglican Church in 2006.  She was Ordained as a Deacon in 2017.

She is also employed as School Chaplain at Ross Hill Primary School.

Tineke loves growing things from cuttings and seed in her garden and, to save her hard work being destroyed, takes the dog on regular outings! She gets excited when people want to know more and talk about Jesus.
